The room had a microwave, coffee and tea making equipment, and a refrigerator. The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and a movie theater.

Desk clerk was very attentive and fast with check in.

Room was pricey due to Concourse event but among cheaper options. For $219 I expected better accommodations though. Room smelled of smoke, carpet was wet in bathroom area, safety was a concern given doors were accessible to public and not in a great /safe location, room faced busy street and so was noisy, and bed had only a thin blanket and was cold at night.

Great spot close to Monterrey and the downtown area with plenty of dining choices nearby. Tons of food varieties to choose from 😋.

howard johnson in salinas exceeded our expectations during our honeymoon trip. the location was perfect for exploring the coast, the a/c worked well, and the manager was accommodating in extending our stay.

There is a hidden charge that might be reinsbursed. Also the card was reading the outside door to get in through the stairwell. Also, a large group went in early for breakfast and almost finished all the food and the hotel did not restock food.

The hotel was fairly clean and the staff was accommodating. The location was particularly good. I appreciated being given a recently refurbished, modern room with a mini fridge, 2 queen beds, and a shower.

The hotel was comfortable and in a perfect location. I was very happy with the large and recently refurbished room. The room was complete with a waffle maker and 2 queen beds and shower. Everything seemed nice and fairly clean. The staff were extremely friendly and wonderfully friendly people at the reception desk. I loved the property.

Very little choice for breakfast and everything was old and looked expired -looks like the manager/owner lives there and while I was checking in before I showed my id (by the way I'm of middle eastern descent) he had a nice attitude that all change after he saw my id complete 180 very rude and let's just say I will never ever stay at any Howard Johnson if they let private owners like him own a franchise

Convenient location near Main street and National Steinbeck Center, with ample parking. Friendly reception staff and comfortable bed. Basic self-service breakfast. Room entrance outside like a motel. Overall fair accommodation at a reasonable price.

Great value for money with a comfortable bed, working heater, and useful amenities like a hair dryer and iron. The hotel is located in a quiet area where I could sleep undisturbed. The staff was polite, helpful, and provided excellent directions to local activities.

The breakfast experience could be improved with more options and variety.
